Yes. Any non-Omani national can purchase freehold property within an ITC-designated zone, regardless of nationality. The process is the same for all buyers: SPA, title registration at the Ministry of Housing, residency application.
Freehold means you own the property outright: land and structure, indefinitely, with no expiry date. Leasehold means you own the right to use the property for a fixed term (typically 25-99 years), after which ownership reverts to the freeholder. ITC property in Oman is full freehold.
Not necessarily. Off-plan purchases can be completed remotely via digital SPA or notarised power of attorney. The residency permit application requires a visit to Oman at some point, but this can happen after purchase is finalised.
Yes. ITC freehold properties can be rented short or long term. No income tax on rental proceeds. Several developments offer on-site management programmes for hands-off ownership. Ask us about current yields per project.
For off-plan, SPA signing and deposit can happen within days. Title registration occurs on completion. For ready properties, offer to registered title typically takes 4-8 weeks. The residency application runs in parallel and takes an additional 2-4 weeks.
